This resets the readiness bits and they check them again. If the still say "OK" they know the car is lying to them and the readiness bits are "hard wired" - and you fail again. In short, there is a chance that a DPF delete and Malone tune will pass an OBDII only readiness check. However, there is also a chance that it will fail big time.
Struggling to think of an old diesel car thats worth £1500 that carries a £1500 price tag for its DPF replacement. The car is a Mazda 5 - 2006 model, I paid £2200 for the car. The quote was from a mechanic, who said it was the part which was expensive. I also made an enquiry with my local Mazda dealer and they confirmed the cost of the part.

It has been suggested that the risks of driving diesel cars are not being taken seriously enough as a study has uncovered that people have been opting to have their diesel particulate filter (DPF) removed rather than pay £1,000 for a replacement. Vehicles that remove a DPF spread toxic pollution 20 times greater than a normal diesel car.
DPF volume, and threshold filterpressuredropmeasurement, amongst others [23]. The vehicle operator prefers the DPF maintain good performance for the full-engine lifetime. Therefore, it is beneficial to have an accurate measure of how much ash is removed from the DPF during filter servic-ing,relativeto the estimate ash exposure, in order to schedule Removed my dpf by cutting it out and had a remap with extra bhp added, car very lively but can't tell you about economy as don't do a great deal of miles, MOT due in April !! I'm told that at the MOT stage unless they take the canister off they won't know that it has been removed, unless it fails on the smoke test as there's no dpf to help
You can remove the dpf, connect the first diferential sensor to the airfilter case, and the second one you can just leave-it as it is It really work's, only that when the car regenerates, it will inject the s**it in to the exaust , and then you can catch a little bit of fire, an then "No car "! The best solution, is to replace DPF.
3. Deleting the DPF does not get you better fuel economy. The myth that deletes garner better fuel economy is slowly fading. Now a days, there are tons of guys out there that have been running emissions equipped tuning for years. Essently, there is actual real-world data to back it up.
From my limited knowledge it appears to me that my options are 1: Take it to a dealer and have it flashed back to stock then install a tuner of my choosing. 2: Buy a new H&S mini max and using the current tune as "stock" upload new tunes and use the mini max. 3: Just drive it the way it is ( unknown tune ).

DPF systems require maintenance and can be expensive to replace. If removed, you can avoid these costs. This is considered an economical decision that resolves the extra costs of DPF failure forever. Through a DPF delete, some users have been able to stretch oil changes to 10-15K, saving more money and protecting the engine better. 5.

It will have had a DPF. Look on www.realoem.com - put the last 7 digits of your VIN into the box at the top of the page and it'll bring up your exact car. Look on the engine diagram and you'll see I looked closely at the debris. The NOX has a straight through path. The DPF has square tubes, 50% open on the inlet side and 50% open on the exhaust side. The gases must enter the square tubes on the inlet side and then move transversely through a porous substrate to get in to the tube that is open on the exhaust side.

Due to the new European emission standards if the car was fitted with a Dpf to lower emissions removing it would be in volation of the Eu laws and its tested for in the new MOT. If the car never had one fitted then its fine. Much like if a car was never fitted or made before the seat belt law was passed the car doesnt need to have them.

There are 3 ways to fix a blocked DPF: the home remedy of a regeneration drive, but if the blockage is too significant, it will be too late for this to work. A DPF cleaning service. Which involves removing the DPF, flushing, and cleaning the internals with chemicals. Replace the DPF.
